Objective

This course introduces participants to the theoretical and hands on practice of Digital Forensics, Mobile and Cloud Forensics including extracting, preserving, analysing and presenting digital evidence using open-source tools. The course will present techniques for extracting digital evidence using real life scenarios and concrete examples based. Participants will receive handouts describing techniques and procedures of digital forensics and worksheets for implementing these techniques. The course will be five days long and should help participants to increase their expertise level and improve knowledge in combating cybercrimes.
After the course students should be able to have an understanding of digital forensics, how to identify and mitigate cyber breaches on their computer systems including mobile devices and cloud platforms. They should be able to determine how a crime was committed and be able to acquire and analyse the digital evidence that is left behind in order to determine the perpetrators of a crime.
