Objective

Gain the foundational knowledge you will use in the workplace as a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst. Each day billions of devices are connected to the network, and each one needs to be protected. Build the skills to secure your network all the way to the edge, including hardware, software, and media.

In this course, you will learn how to assess the network, operating systems, and endpoints for vulnerabilities, and how to secure the network. You will also gain skills to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability in your network and your data. This course is part of the Career Path – Cybersecurity.

Content

Network Security Basics
Covers the key principles to secure a network. You will learn about the most common types of cyberattacks, how networks can be vulnerable, and ways to enhance network security.

Operating System and Endpoint Security
Explores the basic security of the Windows and Linux operating systems. You will also learn the impacts of malware, and the best practices for endpoint protection and securing files.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Complete a final exam (answer correctly min. 70% of the given questions)
Evaluation: Approved / Fail
