Objective

The student knows the key concepts and patterns of typography. The student is able to communicate visually with text and the interaction of an image and text. The student is able to use typography tools for professional use. The student is able to apply typographic design skills in practice.

Content

- History of typography
- Basic concepts and rules of typography
- Stylistic and technical selection criteria between different fonts
- Readability and accessibility
- Ideation and problem solving skills

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student knows the concept of typography. Student participates classes in required extent. Student completes given assignments acceptably. Student knows core content of the course.
