Objective

The student masters the modelling of three-dimensional objects and the creation of assemblies from the modelled parts. The student models parts and builds assemblies from them. The student creates drawings from models and assemblies. The student demonstrates the ability to read and create drawings.

Content

3D modelling by adding and removing material; design of rotationally symmetric parts using different modelling techniques; use of sheet metal modelling tool, auxiliary geometry and assembly using different clamping methods; drawing, adding parts list and part numbers to assembly drawing.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student uses simple modelling techniques to create a 3D model of a simple part and creates an assembly of several parts, but the assembly's structure and part attachments have notable deficiencies.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student creates 3D models using several different techniques. When creating 3D models, the student chooses the appropriate modelling technique for the part to be modelled. The student creates assemblies with parts correctly attached to each other. The student draws both the part and the assembly.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student uses the various functions of 3D modelling software in a versatile and rational way, choosing the appropriate technique for each case. The student creates a correct structure in a 3D model using the modelling techniques learned in the course. The student creates an assembly using various fastening methods to locate parts. The student produces a drawing of both the part and the assembly.
