Objective

The student can work on the stage of a professional theatre and understand the roles and working practices of the profession. They know the stages of production in professional theatre and are familiar with the work environment and organisation of the theatre from the perspective of performance technology. The student understands the importance of the different professional roles in theatre production.

They can document and present the stage systems and their own work on stage. The students know the safety risks involved in the stage technical systems and can take them into account when operating on stage. The student is able to evaluate stage work from the perspectives of safety and sustainable development.

• Reporting and presenting stage technology systems and work processes in professional theatre

Qualifications

KM00GI16 Safety in Performing Arts Environment (5 ECTS) and KM00GI23 Stage Technology or equivalent knowledge and skills.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to work safely in technical tasks on the stage of a professional theatre as part of a team. They can present the production process of a large-scale stage and the professional teams working on stage in general terms. The student can document and present stage systems and equipment. They understand the role of stage technology in performance. The student reflects on their contributions within the work community and their collaboration skills.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to work safely in technical tasks on the stage of a professional theatre as part of a team. They can outline and present the production process of a large-scale stage and the professional teams working on stage. The student is able to document and present stage systems and equipment, outlining the overall system and safety practices. They understand the role of stage technology in performance. The student independently observes the work of the work community. The student reflects on their contributions within the work community and can set goals to improve their collaboration skills.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to work safely in technical tasks on the stage of a professional theatre as part of a team. The student cooperates and promotes safety on stage. They can present the production process of a large-scale stage, the organisation of a theatre and the professional teams working on stage. The student is able to document and present stage systems and equipment, outlining the overall system and safety practices.They understand the role of stage technology in performance. The student independently observes the work of the work community and participates in the development of the work community. The student reflects on their contributions within the work community and can set goals to improve their collaboration skills.
