Objective
Upon completion of the course, the student understands the role of technical planning and technical production in live performances. They are familiar with the key concepts and tools of project management. The student outlines the key aspects of the technical processes in event and theatre productions, along with the related technical design work. The student is able to design and document a basic technical solution for an event or performance in one of the professional areas (light, sound, video or stage technology) using a visualisation application. The student can create production schedules, equipment lists, and crew rosters using appropriate spreadsheet software.
After completing the course the student is aware of the planetary ecological boundaries, climate change and biodiversity loss. The student understands the three dimensions of sustainable development as a systemic whole and can argue the interdependencies between them. The student is aware of the European Union regulations related to digital and green transitions. The student is able to identify the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and how the goals are promoted within U!REKA cities. The student is aware of the sustainability focus within U!REKA European University Alliance.

KM00GI25 Technical-Artistic Design (5 ECTS) or equivalent knowledge and skills
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student has a general understanding of the role of technical design and technical production in live performances. The student is familiar with the key concepts and tools of project management, but needs guidance in their application. The student can describe the key aspects of technical processes and design work in event and theatre productions. They can design and document a basic technical solution for an event or performance, mostly independently. The student understands the purpose of technical documentation and is able to prepare documents with limited reliance on guidance. The student can create production schedules, equipment lists, and crew rosters using appropriate spreadsheet software.
The student understands what planetary boundaries mean and how the UN’s 17 SDGs are connected. The student is aware of the European Union regulations and standards related to the digital and green transitions. The student has become familiar with the green transition measures of at least one European city.
