Objective
Upon completion of the course, the student understands the technical-artistic nature of live performance and theatre technology. The student recognises the expressive forms of sound, light and video. The student understands the nature of creative design processes and can communicate ideas related to light or sound expression. The student can use appropriate software for the 3D rendering of live performance or event solutions. The student identifies the main features and key workflows of live performance production processes. They understand the main principles of employment contracts and commission agreements and the responsibilities, obligations and rights of the employee.

Qualifications
KM00GI17 Basics of Live Performance Technology (5 ECTS) and KM00GI16 Safety in Performing Arts Environment or equivalent knowledge and skills.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student identifies the expressive forms of sound, light, and video. The student understands the nature of creative design processes and are able to join a group working on a small-scale design project, mostly independently. They can communicate their ideas about light or sound expression on a basic level. The student can produce 3D renders using appropriate software with limited reliance on guidance. The student can outline the live performance production process and its main workflows. The student knows the main principles of employment contracts and commission agreements and the responsibilities, obligations and rights of the employee.

The student understands the nature of creative design processes and can do small-scale design as part of a group. The student can communicate their well-founded ideas about light or sound expression. The student can produce 3D renders to support design work using appropriate software. The student can outline the live performance production process and its main workflows. The student knows the main principles of employment contracts and commission agreements and understands the responsibilities, obligations and rights of the employee and is able to apply this knowledge.

The student has a broad understanding of the expressive forms of sound, light, and video and justifies their use creatively and in depth. The student understands the nature of creative design processes and demonstrates the ability to work independently and innovatively in a group. The student effectively communicates their well-founded and coherent ideas about light or sound expression. The student can produce high-quality 3D renders that support design work and illustrate ideas effectively. The student can outline the live performance production process and understands the significance and interconnections of key workflows. The student knows the principles of employment contracts and commission agreements and understands the responsibilities, obligations and rights of the employee, and is able to apply this knowledge independently in practice.
