General information

Credits
5 ECTS

Objective

The student knows the technical principles of digital image and video signals and can apply them in system design and problem solving. The student is familiar with the hardware environment and design processes of video technology. The student can set up and operate typical video image transmission and presentation systems. They can interpret and prepare design documents for video systems. The student understands the technical constraints of different display surfaces and is able to apply this knowledge in design work. The student understands the role of video technology in live performances and is familiar with the job profiles related to video technology. The student understands the safety risks associated with the equipment and is able to consider the principles of sustainable development in their work.

Content

• Video system signals and equipment
• Live performance display surfaces
• Video production for events and network solutions
• Video system design and documentation
• Video technology workshop
• Familiarisation with a theatre or event video system and organisation
