Objective

Students are able to
Describe relevant features of general pathology and general diseases and how they affect to the eye and vision in the following situations:
inflammation and repair
rheumatoid disorders, vasculitis and collagenosis
blood diseases
nutritional disorders
tumors.

Qualifications

The prerequisite for this course is the successful completion of a valid course of study in accordance with the curriculum in force, where the student has demonstrated sufficient knowledge and skills in the following subjects: An understanding of the general anatomy and physiology and the anatomy and physiology of the eye, as well as microbiology.

The prerequisites are fulfilled when the student has passed the following courses: General Anatomy and Physiology, Ocular Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Microbiology.
