Objective

Student
- understands and can describe the key pregnancy complications and the associated monitoring and care of mother and foetus
- understands the significance of a mother’s medical conditions in the monitoring of pregnancy and the development of pregnancy complications
- understands and is able to describe the most significant normal changes in the condition of a foetus and a newborn and the key perinatal complications and their care practices
- knows and can describe the most significant neonatal problems, their monitoring and care practices

Most common pregnancy complications and their monitoring and treatment
The role of the mother’s medical conditions in the monitoring of pregnancy and the development of pregnancy complications
Normal changes in foetal and neonatal well-being
Neonatal problems in newborns

Qualifications

Theoretical studies included in professional studies in nursing and clinical practices in at least internal medicine and surgery, unless otherwise agreed in the student's PSP.
