Objective
Students are able to:
Describe the normal development of motoric, cognitive and linguistic skills in a child
Evaluate if orthoptic treatment is suitable for the patient and to plan and implement it
Describe the characteristics of binocular vision disorders and determine the corrections?
Determine, classify and make correction solutions for vergence disorders
Describe the significance of AC/A-ratio in corrections and utilize it when controlling vergences.

Definition and determination of orthoptic treatments
Determination, classification, and management for vergence disorders
Prism correction solutions
The relationship between accommodation and vergence (AC/A) and its use in spectacle correction.
Qualifications
The prerequisite for this course is the successful completion of a valid course of study in accordance with the curriculum in force, where the student has demonstrated sufficient knowledge and skills in the following subjects: The student is able to determine the objective and subjective refractive error and evaluate accommodation and binocular vision.
The prerequisites are fulfilled when the student has passed the following courses: Binocular Vision and Eye Examination Practicals 3: Binocular Vision and Accommodation
