Objective
Students are able to:
Take patient history
Assess objective refraction with retinoscopy and record it in accordance with optometry guidelines
Use trial frames, trial lenses, and phoropter while considering their own and the client's ergonomics
Measure visual acuity and accommodation amplitude and record measurements in accordance with optometry guidelines.

Qualifications
The prerequisite for this course is the successful completion of a valid course of study in accordance with the curriculum in force, where the student has demonstrated sufficient knowledge and skills in the following subjects: Understanding and knowledge of lens optics, lens types and prismatic effects. Basics of general anatomy and physiology, as well as an understanding of the principles and key legislation of social and health care activities.
The prerequisites are fulfilled when the student has passed the following courses: Optics of the Spectacle Lens, General Anatomy and Physiology and Professional in Social and Health Care.
