Objective
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- lead employees, work communities, and organisations by promoting good personnel policies (considering the changes in work affecting social and health care organisations)
- develop leadership practices that enhance employee well-being, taking into account the development of work environments
- promote diversity within the work community, strengthening the social sustainability of organisations
- utilise the latest research on employee well-being and its significance in organisational management
- enhance their own and employees' well-being, employee experience, and the meaningfulness of work.
Content
- Principles of good personnel policy and strengthening social sustainability
- Managing evolving work environments and their impact on employee well-being
- Considering diversity and inclusion in organisational leadership and development
- Collaboration with occupational health services, active support from supervisors, ethical burden, and costs of incapacity for work, as well as well-being metrics
- The role of supervisors in strengthening their own and the work community's resources
- Opportunities for employees to receive support, be heard, and develop meaningful work
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student demonstrates that they understand the basic content of the course but there are shortcomings in their ability to independently acquire and interpret information and apply what they have learned.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student demonstrates that they have a good understanding of the content of the course. They actively acquire information and interpret the key connections between different pieces of information. The student has the ability to analyse what they have learned and to apply it in practice.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student demonstrates that they have a diverse and broad understanding of the content of the course. They possess excellent information acquisition skills that are suited to the purpose at hand. The student demonstrates independence and responsibility in the choices they make. They have a creative and broad-based ability to apply what they have learned in practice.
