Objective

After completing the course:
You are able to reflect on your music pedagogical learning and construct your professional expertise.
You have identified your own strengths as well as factors influencing your musical path and learning.
You can recognize phenomena of pedagogical interaction and you have familiarized yourself with various environments of instrumental and vocal instruction.
You understand perspectives related to encountering and teaching learners of different ages and diversities.

Reflection on one's own pedagogical path
Values, virtues and strengths
Positive pedagogy, and supporting the strengths of the learner
Teacher ethics and emotional skills
Observation
Competencies and work field
Encountering learners of different ages and diversities
Tools of music teaching
Planning teaching, and basic knowledge of teaching one's own instrument

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

To complete the course (5 ects), an approved performance from each module is required. Each assignment and the course are evaluated on a pass/fail basis.
