Objective
The student is able to correctly use the machinery and equipment necessary for manufacturing prosthetics and orthotics and works in accordance with safety norms. The student knows how to choose the correct work method and manufacturing technique for a task and can justify their choice. The student gains proficiency in using machinery and equipment, and makes progress towards being able to conduct technical work independently. The student strengthens their manual skills and is able to handle various materials. They are aware of the financial and ecological factors related to the decisions they make.
The student is proficient in the techniques used in manufacturing prosthetics and orthotics as well as the basic materials used and their properties and behaviour in various processing stages. The student works with them safely and knows how they function. The student understands digital manufacturing techniques as part of the manufacturing of prosthetic and orthotic solutions. The student is able to collaborate with others.
