Objective
After taking the course, the student understands the importance of safe working as part of his live performance and theater technical skills. The student knows how to identify and evaluate risks related to technical performance work. They know the key means of reducing risks. The student participates in maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment. The student knows the factors affecting ergonomic working and works ergonomically. He knows the personal protective equipment needed in live performance and theater technical work and uses them when necessary. The student knows how to prevent fires in performance spaces. The student works safely in an area with a risk of falling. The student works safely with performance and theater technical electrical systems. He knows how to work safely with the most common tools and knows how to safely use common chemicals in performance. The student knows how to handle and hang performance equipment safely.
Content
In the intensive training, under the guidance of professionals, the main points of work safety in live performance technology are reviewed in theory and practice. The training provides a good safety awareness basis for working in the practical working environments of live performance, theater and event technology. The training gives an overview of work safety in the stage area, but it does not replace the employer's orientation or work instructions. The course consists of three half-day distance meetings and two practical close-up days.
