Objective
On completion of the course, you will understand and recognize your strengths and be aware of self-awareness and how it deeper your own knowledge and competencies. You recognize your professional competences and general working life skills. You recognize your professional development needs and understand how to develop your professional skills. You will have the knowledge of the Finnish labor market and will have understand of the requirements in the field. You can identify different professions and employment opportunities. You learn to seek for work in your field and areas of expertise.
You will learn how to apply for jobs in field of engineering using correct application documents and you will know the different ways to network and how to develop your working life skills. You know how to plan you career in long-term way and will understand the significance of continuous learning for career development.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student is able to:
- identify his/her professional competences
- highlight some of his/her strongest assets related to his/her international background
- understand the significance of transferable skills in the future of work and in his/her professional field
- identify competences provided by the degree and can determine some goals for his/her professional development during the studies
- name some of the key actors, sources of information and other factors affecting his/her professional field and apply these for information search
- draft suitable key documents for job search and identify key features of Finnish work environments
- utilize to some extent the knowledge and competences acquired during the course in his/her collaboration with employers and can relate some of the discussed topics to his/her experiences and observations
