Objective

Knowledge and understanding:
The student will know basic applications, requirements and implementation techniques for digital watermarks.

Skills:
The student is able to understand basic techniques for image watermarking and implement them with the help of MATLAB.

Content

Core Content:
Watermarking Models, Embedding in the Spatial Domain, Embedding in Transform Domains, Content-Fragile Watermarks, Combining Watermarking and Encryption

Additional content:
Introduction to MATLAB, Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT)

Qualifications

Students should have some basic programming experience, as well as basic math skills (probability and calculus) and some basic knowledge of?IT-Security concepts. No prior experience with MATLAB is necessary.

The student understands basic techniques for digital watermarking and actively participates in the practical sessions.

The student can assess watermarking algorithms with respect to robustness, transparency, and security.
