French for BeginnersLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

After having completed the course, the students will manage in common everyday and basic professional interactions in French. They will be acquainted with the French culture and communication style, have necessary elementary vocabulary and grammatical understanding to contribute to (mostly oral) interaction.

Content

The students will learn and practise French vocabulary and grammatical structures in class with a vast array of communicative exercises, complete the given written assignments also in the web platform and pass the exam at the end of the course.

The students have achieved the basic requirements of the course to a somewhat moderate level.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students have achieved the basic requirements of the course to a satisfactory or good level. They are able to apply their knowhow in diverse personal and professional situations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has achieved the basic requirements of the course to an excellent level. They are able to express themselves with relative ease even in more demanding professional contexts and to use diverse communicational strategies.
