RecordingLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

The student deepens their knowledge and skills in working as a session musician. They are capable of organizing a recording session and taking care of the practical arrangements of the session, acting as the artistic leader of the session. The student is able to produce high quality material for the promotion of their musical knowhow or for further development to release an artistic publication.

Qualifications

Approved completion of Instrument studies 1-7 or equivalent knowledge and skills.
Approved completion of the Concert course or equivalent knowledge and skills.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

In order to get an approved grade, the student
- has organized a professional-level recording session where at least two songs selected by him/her are recorded and mixed
- has acted as the artistic producer of the session and has been in charge of the practical arrangements involved
- has attended the tuition and completed the given tasks
