Industrial Processes and MaterialsLaajuus (5 ECTS)
Course unit code: TX00DJ46
General information
- Credits
- 5 ECTS
Objective
After completing the course, students are able to describe the reactions, activities and production technology of the most common chemical and physical manufacturing processes from raw material to product. He also identifies key waste and emission sources in processes and understands the demands of sustainable development for the process industry.
He is able to name unit operations and unit processes of industrial processes and read process diagrams.
The student recognizes the materials commonly used in the process industry, their properties and the conditions that processes put for materials. He or she can explain how the composition, structure and manufacturing methods of the materials affect their properties.
