Objective

Students will become familiar with different strategic approaches and best practice examples of supply chain management. They will learn to understand how the integration with customers affects the logistics service providers and their logistics strategy. They will learn to measure costs and financial performance and how to manage risks in supply chain. Knowledge and awareness of the latest trends in supply chain management will be increased.

• Supply chain management and logistics strategies and best practices
. Logistics customer service elements and service quality
• Segmentation and analysis of the logistics service markets (industry, trade, service providers)
• Integration with customers in supply chain (vendor managed inventory, continuous replenishment, category management)
• Managing risk in supply chain
• Measuring supply chain and logistics costs and performance
• Development trends in supply chain management and logistics

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Sufficient performance:
showing just enough understanding of the subject to merit a pass grade but requiring greater effort to achieve a more satisfactory result

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good performance:
showing strong understanding of basic concepts and good grasp of techniques, but with certain minor problems still requiring further attention

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent performance:
not only fulfils all standard requirements but demonstrates originality and imagination

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Sufficient performance:
showing just enough understanding of the subject to merit a pass grade but requiring greater effort to achieve a more satisfactory result
