Objective

The student will be familiar with the laws of thermodynamics and she/he can do an energy analysis for open or closed system. The student understands the limitations of the laws of thermodynamics.

Basics of heat transfer
Basic principles of fluid mechanics
Basic principles of chemichal kinetics

The student is familiar with the laws of thermodynamics.
The student is familiar with basics of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
The student can solve simple calculations of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.

The student understands the laws of thermodynamics.
The student can use the laws of thermodynamics to solve simple problems.
The student knows basics of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
The student can solve applied calculations of fluid dynamics.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student understands the laws of thermodynamics and how to use them to solve thermodynamic-based problems.
The student can solve applied calculations of thermodynamics.
The student knows the fundamentals of fluid dynamics and can solve calculations.
The student masters the fundamentals of heat transfer.
