Objective

• know the most important global development programmes and their objectives
• recognise the needs, possibilities and challenges of global development, and the connections between environmental, social and financial factors
• are familiar with some international development organizations and non-governmental organizations and their activities
• recognise the links between their own professional field and the global development issues
• are able, both independently and as a group member, to obtain, analyse and process information on global development issues, and to present the results verbally and in writing

• global development challenges
• development programmes, especially the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2016-2030
• local and global development organizations
• responsible corporate citizenship and global supply chains
• seminar presentations, reporting and analysis

Students are able to
• recognise the most important global development challenges
• recognise some interdependencies between environmental, social and financial factors
• recognise the global impacts of activities in their own professional field
• search information and prepare a presentation on a chosen development issue

Students are able to
• analyse the global challenges of sustainable development
• analyse interdependencies between environmental, social and financial factors
• recognise and assess the global impacts of activities in their own professional field
• search information from different sources and prepare an analytical presentation and a report on a chosen development issue

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students are able to
• analyse the global challenges of sustainable development and plan interventions
• analyse and optimise interdependencies between environmental, social and financial factors
• assess and forecast the global impacts of activities in their own professional field
• search information using versatile sources and prepare an analytical and innovative presentation and a report on a chosen development issue
