Objective

The student
- is able to plan, implement and evaluate individually the early treatments of caries and gingival diseases together with the child and his/her parents at the Metropolia oral health care teaching clinic
- defines the oral health status of a child and takes into account the influence of different cultures in oral and dental health
- recognizes malocclusions and knows the treatment practices
- guides the child and his/her family in oral health literacy
- works as an orthodontic team member in treating developing occlusion
