Objective
The student can use and develop different chemical and biological analysis techniques used in forensic analysis.
Content
1. Techniques of molecular biology: design and optimization of PCR reaction, real time PCR, sequencing and electrophoretic methods, chip technology.
2. Immunotechnique: ELISA, immunoblot
3. Applications of instrumental methods (GC-MS, LC-MS, CE and X-ray techniques) used in forensic analysis, e.g. explosives, drugs and fire debris.
4. Microscopy: structure of equipment, function and applications (optical and electron microscopy), preparation of different microscopy samples and analysis of microscopy images and other visual results from laboratory analysis.
