Objective

Students
-can carry out the initial patient evaluation and recognize the need for additional help.
-can request a consultation and know the principles of preliminary reporting.
-are familiar with the care principles of the primary patient groups and can carry out these basic pre-hospital emergency care principles as well as are familiar with the underlying legislation.
-are proficient in the manual airway management and use of supraglottic airway devices.
-are proficient in the basics of ECG interpretation as well as use basic treatment and stabilization equipment.
-are familiar with the authority network and the principles of using the most common data terminal equipment.
-understand the principles of non-transport of a patient.

Content

Initial evaluation
Authority communication with VIRVE
use of ELS codes (electronic incident logging system)
Principles of documenting: SV 210 and electronic documentation
Consulting and reporting
Management of airways with endotracheal tube, laryngeal tube and laryngeal mask
Mask ventilation
ECG with monitor/defibrillator and basics of interpreting it
Use of vacuum products and supportive collar in the immobilization of trauma patients
Basic pre-hospital emergency care of primary patient groups
Cooperation between authorities, legislation
