Objective
Students can design and produce a short program. They are able to use audio, video and editing equipment at the basic level. Students know the basics of lighting. They know how audio and video material is transferred from a shoot to audio post-processing and video editing and broadcast. Students know how to work in a production team and in the production environment of Metropolia.
Students know the concepts of audiovisual production, the most common job titles and job descriptions and the production process. Students know how an idea is converted into a television program through a variety of content, expression and production related tasks. Students know the importance of copyright issues and contracts in media productions.
Students know the artistic and technical workflow of typical media productions. They know the most common audio and video recording situations in media productions and they are able to review the factors that affect them. Students are introduced to the key actors in the Finnish media industry.
Students are aware of the most common safety hazards in media productions. They know how to prevent hazardous situations and what to do in case of an accident.
