Objective
Students understand ageing through various theories of ageing. They begin to recognize changes associated with social and psychological ageing and their effects on people’s everyday lives and occupational performance. Students are able to explain ageing as an individual stage that is part of life.
Content
Theories and explanatory models of ageing, older people as actors and active agents of their own lives, engagement, participation and enabling these for ageing people, course of human life and life experiences as resources and enablers
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Students use the appropriate core concepts as well as make choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They recognise the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.
Students’ actions follow the rules and instructions given, and they use working methods appropriately and safely.
Students work according to the professional ethics of their own field, and they act responsibly as group members.
