Objective

Voice 1-4:

The student knows the dimensions of his/her own voice and is able to use them when singing. For those working with children the easily functioning range should be a – e2. The student perceives different styles and new and old music traditions through the repertoire sung during the studies. The student can use his/her singing and speaking voice in an economical and healthy way and can set a good and healthy example for the group he/she is teaching.

The student is used to performing as a singer and uses his/her singing voice in front of a group in a brave way. The self-esteem and pedagogic identity are strengthened together with vocal courage and identity. The student can form a strong relationship to the emotional contents of the song.

The student has an experience in acting as a singer-musician in different ensembles and has required the basic skills in singing harmonies.

Content

Voice 1-4

The student receives tuition in voice, performs as a singer and takes a test during the studies.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

A performance that meets the minimum criteria, but no more. The candidate demonstrates a very limited degree of judgement and independent thinking.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

A good performance in most areas. The candidate demonstrates a reasonable degree of judgement and independent thinking in the most important areas.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

An excellent performance, clearly outstanding. The candidate demonstrates excellent judgement and a high degree of independent thinking.
