The Oral Hygienist as a Professional ActorLaajuus (4 ECTS)

Objective

The student is able to present the oral health care professions and education both orally and in writing. S/he is able to explain the oral hygienist's basic task in promoting welfare and oral health of population of various ages. S/he knows the structure, function and the guiding regulations of the oral health care service system. S/he is able to recognize social and (health) political changes influencing oral health care. S/he is able to apply the oral hygienist's ethical principles to his/her action and knows the value base of social and health care. S/he is able to plan, implement and evaluate a presentation of the oral hygienist's basic task to his/her peer students.
