Objective
The students will know the most common types of composition and musical forms and their structural principles that are included in the module The students will be able to describe the types of composition that are included in the module by writing and reducing. The students will be able to discuss the compositios on a professional level using the common professional terminology, and to independently familiarize themselves with literature and research. The students will be able to use different viewpoints in their analyses, and to apply these viewpoints to their own musical activities.
Student deepens his/her historical knowledge and consciousness as well as his/her knowledge about repertoire of music related to the course’s topic. With help of historical sources and writings, student solves problems and study the boundaries of questions aroused of his/her activities as a musician and as an educator. Student presents his/her interpretations on a topic related to the course both literary as well as in an oral presentation.
Content
The student writes an extensive programme text, which will be published, uses independently source materials, and masters the reference techniques in professional texts. The student plans out and delivers an organized and explicit lecture on an optional subject with the aid of information and communication technology as requested.
