Objective

Student has had overall picture of energy production and energy resources, knows combustion,principles, knows steam/water circulation process, knows functioning of residental or regional heating plant, components, sizing and control prin-ciples and can design at schematic level basic solutions of residental heating plant.

Content

Overall picture of worldwide and Finnish energy production and delivery and energy resources. Renewable energy resources, characteristics of different fuels, steam/water circulation process, distric heating production, wood-based heating.
