Objective

The student knows why and what automation is used for. The student has a basic knowledge of the automation equipment and their operation.

Content

The course covers basics of automation from different points of view.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is familiar with the basic concepts of automation.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to the above, the student understands and knows how to utilize the information of the various automation trends.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, the student knows and is able to identify the most common automation devices from the different automation trends. The student knows also how to evaluate and apply information received through the devices into practice.
