Objective
Students understand and identify life situations of men, women and families in different phases of life affecting health and wellbeing. Students have competence to plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based methods of nursing promoting health and welfare client- and family-orientedly. Students are aware of the basics of sexual health, risk factors and their prevention. Students demonstrate competence to support couple relationships and families. Students can identify underlying factors related to family’s resources and help families to receive support.

Concepts related to sexuality and sexual rights as well as sexual diversity
Promotion of sexual and reproductive health of people of different ages and in different phases of life, identification of risk factors and their prevention
The PLISSIT model and its application to nurses’ work
