Objective
Students implement care safely. They work in accordance with the principles of ergonomics and can assist patients in their daily activities. Students observe and evaluate patient’s vital signs and decide on the means to help to support them. Students apply evidence-based knowledge as a basis for their actions and evaluate the development of their expertise in the basic clinical nursing skills.

Students utilize evidence-based knowledge in their studies.
Students apply the aseptic and ergonomic principles to their work safely.
Students implement the resident/patient’s basic care in accordance with the values and principles of nursing.
Students describe changes in the vital signs of the resident/patient and are able to choose the most appropriate method to support the patient’s vital signs.
Students can assist the resident/patient in eating and enteral nutrition as well as are aware of the significance of hydration to the wellbeing of the patient.
Students are familiar with the secretory disorders and know how to support the resident/patient’s secretory activity by various methods of nursing practice.
Students are able to carry out last offices practice of a deceased patient with regard to the wishes and beliefs of the patient and his/her significant others.
Students evaluate their professional development in the basics of clinical nursing.
