Objective
The students will become familiar with the key concepts and models of communication and be able to analyse what role communication has to play in social change, also being able to distinguish between specific properties of various media and to make observations about their own communication behaviour. The students will learn the most important theories concerning the production and reception of meaning in communication. The students will also understand how communications institutions operate and how they relate to other institutions in society. The students will also understand the social dimension of their own professional activity.
