Objective
Students know how to describe the muscles of the body, in particular those of the lower limb area as well as palpate them on a living person. They are able to describe the movement of the joints and each muscle activated in the process. Students can describe the different phases of walk and each muscle group activated in these phases. They understand the main features of the organ system in relation to structure and function and understand the coordination between the organ systems.
Content
Muscles and their function in the human body, hip and the lower limbs (especially the legs and feet)
Function of muscle groups during the phases of walk
Structure and function of the vascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive and urinary systems
