Objective
Students are able to describe the key processes of embryology until the end of the organogenesis stage. They can explain the principles and processes of the development of the human body. Based on their physiological knowledge on this development, students are able to perceive functional connections and their effects on the human body. They know how to apply this knowledge to their treatment practices independently.
Content
Conception, formation of blastocyst, gastrulation, formation of embryonic disk, neurulation and organogenesis. Significance of intracellular interaction for the development process. Segmentation of the spine and peripheral nervous system. Main features of formation of bones, muscles, fasciae and body cavities. Development of foetus. Development of child: developmental phases, functional connections and disorders.
