Objective

The students comprehend the connection between technology and expression in sound design.
The students can express central thoghts of their own sound plan and break down the fundamental ways of expressing sound. The students can express their thoughts through sound on the basis of the script.

Content

The students learn cinematic sound expression as well as the starting points of the sound design.
The students learn to listen and analyze the sound track of the film.

Sound tracks are investigated during the course. The students learn to listen and analyze the function of sound narration with respect to the dramaturgy of the entire film. The sound plan, or a part of it, is executed. The students contemplate the manifestations of different sound plans, their strengths, and the effect they have on the entire film process.
