Objective

Understanding of main parts of computer hardware. Familiarity with installations, maintenance and upgrading of PCs. Understanding of installations in a computer network.

Ability to perform common computer hardware installation tasks. Ability to maintain one's own working environment.

Main hardware parts and configuration of a PC.
Installations of hardware components.
Installation, configuration and maintenance of an operating system.
Software and hardware requirements for installations in a network environment.

Practical knowledge about best practices in PC use and maintenance.

- student undestands structure of the computer and know differences between different components
- student knows how to install PC and Windows7 operating system, can set basic settings to OS, install security software and other commonly used programs
- student understands how information is stored and used in computer, can conceive how network and information sharing is setted up
