Objective

The student will be familiar with the phases in draft planning, documentation in HVAC planning and regulations governing planning.
The student will be able to write the basic documents needed when drafting an HVAC plan for an average building.

Content

Phases of HVAC planning with emphasis on project and draft planning, planning contracts, task list in building services engineering, competence requirements for a planner, general terms of contract in consultancy, the planning bid process.
The principles of managing and controlling a planning project, and the tasks of a project manager in an HVAC planning group.
MagiCAD and CADS software.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows the phases of a planning project. He or she is able to perform calculations and create planning documents including the essential phases, but with some errors and shortcomings. The student needs to be assisted in various steps.

The student understands the phases of a planning project. The student is able to perform calculations and create planning documents including all the essential phases. The student needs to be assisted in some steps. He or she completes assignments on time.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is familiar with the phases of a planning project. The student is able to perform calculations and create planning documents including all the essential phases, thoroughly and almost without errors. The student needs guidance in the most demanding tasks only. The student is able to give reasons for his or her choices and to provide alternative solutions. The student completes assignments on time.
