A knowledge of basic consepts and phenomena of chemistry and application of them.

Content

Elements, atoms, compounds, solutions, solubility. Chemical reaction, stoichiometry and combustion. Thermal chemistry and power production by means of combustion reaction. Basics of electrochemistry, reduction, oxidation, electrochemical series and standard potentials, electrochemical cells. How to handle toxic substances and chemical safety at work.
