Objective

Students assimilate the major manufacturing methods of metal structures. They know chip removal and other machining methods, bending and welding. Students are familiar with the measuring techniques required in manufacturing and know how to use measuring instruments. They know the additional requirements for products to be surfaced.

Content

Product design, casting technique, machining with chip removal (basics, turning, milling, drilling, grinding), sheet metal working (cutting and bending, welding), measuring technics, design of products to be surfaced.

Punching, thermal cutting, manufacturing by forming.
