Theoretical Basics of PodiatryLaajuus (4 ECTS)

Objective

Students are familiar with the value and knowledge base, core competence areas and key concepts of podiatry, making use of these when increasing awareness of podiatry and working as part of multidisciplinary teams. Students familiarise themselves with the organisation and working communities of podiatry services and participate in development of these. Students are familiar with the code of ethics governing Podiatrists and act accordingly in customer service situations. Students recognise different elements of high-quality podiatry and are committed to developing these as part of development of their own expertise. Students are familiar with networks operating in their field, follow international activities in podiatry and participate in these according to their opportunities.
