Theoretical Principles of Orthotic TherapyLaajuus (4 ECTS)

Objective

Students are familiar with the principles of orthotic therapy, in order to know how to prepare the necessary orthoses themselves or to write a recommendation for acquisition of orthoses. Students are aware of the indications for use of various foot orthoses. Students are aware of the relief provided by chairside orthoses for acute foot pain and know how to prepare such orthoses while the client is waiting.
