Basic Studies of Prosthetic and Surgical Oral Health CareLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student is orientated to evidence-based prosthetic oral health care. S/he is familiar with the documentation procedures, the principles of primary impression and precision impression and preparing a plaster model. S/he familiarises with crowns, bridges, partial dentures, full dentures, implants and their manufacturing stages. S/he knows how to depurate the mouth of a client in prosthetic oral health care and knows how to instruct the client in oral hygiene. The student is orientated to the evidence-based surgical oral health care. S/he is acquainted with the preoperative, perioperative and postoperative surgical oral health care. The student internalises aseptic working methods in surgical oral health care.
