Objective

The student deepens his/her knowledge of and skills in digital signal processing, and the installation, configuration, use, and maintenance of audio workstations in a music production environment.

Content

- Problems related to digitizing and playing back audio signals
- In-depth familiarization with audio editing equipment and software

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student:
• has participated in class
• is familiar with digital signal processing and audio workstations, and their installation, configuration, operation and maintenance in the music production environment
• has completed the agreed exercises
• has completed the final test

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition, the student:
• understands problems related to audio signal digitization and playback
• has studied computer software and hardware for audio recording and processing in-depth
• understands hardware synchronization in larger music studios

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition, the student:
• has the ability to manage digital audio processing, multi-track recording and summing, as well as audio editing
