Objective

The student gains effective English communication skills for international work contexts of furniture conservation and will develop him/herself in his/her profession. The student commands intercultural communication competencies for presentations, multidisciplinary team work and expert meetings as well as skills to acquire knowledge from sources in English. The student has skills to observe and discover developments in the field of arts and furniture conservation and reflect on his/her observations both orally and in writing. The student has a positive attitude towards the English language learning, and is willing to develop it as a professional tool.

Texts in the professional field and professional terminology
Oral communication: Working in teams, presenting and analysing the process and documentation of a work of furniture conservation, discussing related ethical and other current professional issues
Written communication: Letters, emails, grant applications, contracts, principles of documentation, professional text
