Objective

Students gain a basic understanding of graphic and visual design. The goal is to improve visual expression both in computer-aided and hand drawing.

Content

Introduction to image analysis: point, line, surface, form, tension, repetition, rhythm, symmetry, asymmetry, staticness, dynamism, etc.
History of graphic styles: History of typography, poster art, layout, www, etc.
Graphic design: logos, corporate symbols, trademarks, posters, flyers, web sites, layout, typography, etc.
Brand management: trademark management in different media
Students' visual styles: introduction to art, graphic design and image reading
